journal entry 25 money

I was not surprised by much of anything about this exercise except I actually spent less money than I had thought I would.

When it comes to money, I am most skilled at spending it.
I am least skilled at saving it.
I could create more income by using resources such as ebay to get rid of things I no longer have a want or need for.
I could spend less money on my afternoon coffee, tea spots.
I intend to do more to follow a budget.
I intend to put actual energy into making a budget and looking at it and following it each month.

ct exercise 7

I made the discovery that I have a lot of skills that involve creativity and thinking on the spot. I can make alterations to designs or instructions fairly quickly when I need to. I can alter my thinking to simplify a task and make alterations to directions to make things fit. As in with sewing or cooking, I can alter a pattern to work with different fabrics or alter a recipe and cooking times to work with different ingredients still following the basic design. This can work well in the work environment because it means I can problem solve pretty well.

journal entry 19

As exam time gets closer, one thing I notice that I do is...
not study that subject any more than normal.

When it comes to taking tests, I have trouble...
   concentrating on anything

the night before a test, I usually feel...
   nothing or numb

the morning of a test I usually feel...
   excited

During a test I usually feel...
   dull or bored

After a test I usually feel
excited or anxious that it's over

When I learn a test score, I usually feel...
resolved. It's over stop thinking about it. Or learn from the mistakes

journal entry 18

my excuses for not studying are usually along the lines of
I'm tired, I can't focus, I'm frustrated, I have other things to do, I know the material well enough, the material isn't interesting to me
I discovered that all of my excuses are basic, simple and come down to "just do it!"
I have other things to do is my biggest excuse. I need to make time to study.

critical thinking I statements

There really is only one thing about school that bothers me very much. I am sure I will get over it. But you wanted something that bothers me so here it is. My petty little gripe.

I am irritated but the way our schedule changes to accommodate other people here but not us. It is unfair that we have to move classrooms just to make other people happy. If there was a reasonable reason for it I wouldn't mind so much but there really isn't.

I have noticed that we have to switch room throughout the day to accommodate other people. It frustrates me that our times and rooms have changed more than once. It would be more fair if we had a specific room for our class, like all of the other classes.

journal entry 10

I have discovered but also have known, I get very frustrated when I can't remember something. I can not really think of a specific time I tried to remember something.

Things I would try to put to use from this chapter will be Page 123 make it meaningful; page 125 write it down; page 126 escape short term memory trap; page 125 engage my emotions; and page 123 relax. I already am one to write things down. Its a habit I got into as a child. My parents are list makers too. It has always worked for me to write things down.

journal entry 8

I can not think of a time that i was rushed to finish a project really. I am a very punctual person and always try to make sure I get things done on time. I usually am very ahead of time. If I know when something needs to be done, it will get done when I get the assignment or project. Then I don't have to worry about it.

Things I may use from the chapter are manage interruptions, page 102; and handle it now, page 107. Although I generally do "handle it now". Its just not in my nature to leave a lot of things to the last minute, unless its house work!
